Who You Are
As an Assistant Visual Manager at American Threads, you play a key role in shaping an inspiring, on-brand, and elevated shopping experience. You support the selling, service, and daily operations of the store with a strong focus on visual merchandising, styling, and presentation. Partnering closely with the Store Manager and leadership team, this role helps bring the brand to life through impactful visuals, strong floor leadership, and a seamless customer experience that drives sales and engagement.

Leadership & Team Development
- Train and coach team members on visual standards, merchandising execution, product placement, and styling expectations.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, prioritizing customer engagement, productivity, and strong zone coverage.
- Participate as Manager-on-Duty when needed, driving communication, adaptability, and a collaborative selling culture.
- Provide timely, clear, and actionable feedback to foster accountability and performance growth.
- Support the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining top talent.
- Help develop team members by reinforcing brand standards, visual best practices, and customer service expectations.
Visual Merchandising & Operations
- Execute and maintain daily visual standards, ensuring the sales floor is styled, recovered, and presentation-ready.
- Support sales forecasting, floor coverage, and zone planning to maximize productivity and visual impact.
- Utilize company tools and reports to identify opportunities related to product placement, outfitting, and inventory flow.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to execute shipment processing, replenishment, steaming, and merchandising to brand standards.
- Uphold inventory accuracy, loss prevention practices, safety standards, and all company policies and procedures.
Brand Experience & Selling
- Act as a brand ambassador by consistently representing American Threads’ culture, values, and aesthetic.
- Partner with store leadership to deliver a dynamic, trend-forward visual experience that resonates with the American Threads customer.
- Engage and motivate the team to participate in visual and selling initiatives that enhance the customer journey.
- Encourage personalized styling, outfitting, and product recommendations to drive conversion and build lasting customer relationships.

Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1–2 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail leadership, or fashion-focused sales.
- Strong understanding of styling, color theory, product placement, and trend-driven merchandising.
- Proven ability to lead by example and influence a team on the sales floor.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and pre-opening shifts.
- Passion for fashion, styling, and delivering an elevated, on-brand customer experience.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, bending, and lifting.
- Comfortable climbing a ladder when needed.
