Fashion is personal – and no one knows that better than a Senior Lead Stylist at American Threads. You’re the person on the floor who makes a guest feel like the store was designed just for them. You notice what they gravitate toward, you know what’s new in, and you have the confidence to pull a look together that they wouldn’t have thought of on their own. 

But this role is more than styling – it’s leadership. You support your Store Manager in keeping daily operations running smoothly, you help set the tone for the team, and you step up when it counts. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Store Operations

• Support store opening and closing procedures – counting funds, balancing registers, completing nightly cash deposits, and securing the store at the end of the day
• Help manage controllable expenses and ensure loss prevention policies are being consistently followed
• Uphold American Threads policies and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for both associates and customers

Customer Experience & Sales

• Show up to the floor with energy and warmth – the kind that makes every guest feel like a VIP from the moment they walk in
• Deliver personalized, elevated styling sessions that go beyond transactions and build real relationships with your guests
• Own the fitting room experience – making thoughtful approaches, building full outfits, and offering tailored product suggestions that drive conversion
• Use your product knowledge to connect customers with pieces they’ll love, and upsell in a way that feels natural and genuinely helpful 
• Support the Store Manager/ Assistant Store Manager in driving revenue and exceeding goals through exceptional service and strong execution of American Threads’ customer servicing standards
• Use POS sales reports to stay informed

Team & Floor Leadership

• Step into a leadership role on the floor – helping to guide and support associates during your shift
• Step into the Manager-on-Duty (MOD) role with confidence – supervising the team and keeping operations running smoothly across all areas of the store
• Model the customer service styling standards you’d want to see from every person on your team
• Contribute to a positive, motivated store culture where people show up ready to do their best work

WHAT YOU BRING:

• 1+ year of retail experience in a like-brand environment – you know the floor, and the floor knows you
• A genuine passion for fashion and styling - you stay current on trends because you love it, not because you have to
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with a wide range of customers in an authentic, personable way
• Clear confident communication - with guests, your team, and with your manager
• The ability to stay focused and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment 
• Attention to detail and a natural instinct for prioritizing what matters most during a shift
• Comfort with POS Systems (RetailPro a plus) and a basic understanding of how to read and use sales data
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• HIgh school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age or older

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours
• Frequent talking, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the shift
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
