Job Summary
The Stylist will be responsible creating a friendly, welcoming environment for customers and team members at American Threads. Supports daily operations including opening/closing, maintaining store appearance, processing inventory, and handling sales—all while following company guidelines and staying aligned with daily goals.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a brand representative of American Threads through upholding strong customer service skills and helps to create and foster a positive and encouraging work environment for both our customers and fellow team members.
- Assists MOD in performing store opening and closing procedures according to opening/closing store checklists. Takes ownership by thoroughly and efficiently completing each task before signing off for management to review.
- Helps management team to maintain clean and presentable store by completing go backs throughout shift, straightening/folding/sizing store after customers leave and when not assisting customers.
- Completes shipment processing when directed to do so by management team. Able to tag, sensor, steam all merchandise following American Threads guidelines for inventory processing. Knowledgeable and understands backroom organization and inventory replenishment to comply with company guidelines.
- Performs POS transactions.
- Understands and is knowledgeable of daily sales goals, metrics, and how to read Daily Threads.
- Follows and adheres to all company guidelines. Which includes but is not limited to dress code, Loss Prevention, POS guidelines, and selling standards.
Sales Responsibilities
- Helps to create a warm, inviting experience for all customers and coworkers by consistently having a positive and encouraging attitude while working on sales floor.
- Greets and engages all customers who enter our doors. Follows up consistently with attentive and helpful language in order to keep customer needs the focus of their experience through our store.

Acts as stylist and personal shopper to all customers. Works to create authentic and genuine connections with each customer who enters our stores by using American Threads selling techniques. Takes the time to learn who the customer is and what they are shopping for in order to pull appropriate outfit options to ensure customer will feel confident and comfortable and leave our store with pieces they love.

Completes outfit wardrobing = pulling 6-10 pieces of clothing options for customers. 6-10 is the minimum number of pieces that must be provided to each customer, however, we encourage supplying each customer with more to ensure they are able to find their perfect outfit.
- For example, if a customer is looking for 1 outfit will pull multiple options that include several blouse and bottom styles, dresses, jumpsuits, etc to ensure customer has seen a variety

Recommends and provides additional add-ons to each customer to complete the entire look for customer being styled.
- This includes but is not limited to accessories, jewelry, and shoes.

Helps to ensure repeat customers business by adding customer information to the following:
- If genuine connection is made add customer to client book to note their preferences in order to contact them for upcoming shipments, styles they are looking for.
- Writes down customer information if location is currently sold out of a particular item to let them know when item is restocked.
- Adds all customers into Retail Pro POS system during checkout.
- Follows zoning guidelines set forth by upper management. Works to sell in designated zone during shift.
Physical Requirements
- Position involves continuous talking and walking for at least three consecutive hours. Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours during the day.
- Position will involve stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Comfortable climbing a ladder.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
